In my life this week...
My dryer died, although I'm upset couldn't of happened at a better time of year! My clothesline is happy! I have been planning our next unit study.
In our homeschool this week…
We have been taking our annual test our state requires. I think the kids have tried their best and so I am happy! Can't wait to get the results in a few weeks!
Helpful homeschooling tips or advice to share…
One thing I am reminded of since its time to shop for new books for school again, is that don't worry if your doing something different than others. Your kids are not the other homeschool kids. You should understand what works best for your kids and go with it. There isn't a right or wrong.
I am inspired by…
My husband this week. He has had 2 test this week and another Monday. I have found that his devotion to school is in a way another devotion to his family and me. We need him to complete school to better our situation and I am happy and cheerful to see him take the needed time to study and prepare for something that is such a large burden on him.
Places we’re going and people we’re seeing…
The children have attended VBS at my parents church this week and had a blast. We also went to swim at the pool on Tuesday then meet with some wonderful friends for lunch and enjoyed our evening. My nephew was over for a day and the kids loved it since he isn't able to come often! Today we will be going to the library.
My favorite thing this week was…
Seeing my grandmother!
Things I’m working on…
I've been working on getting all the new material for school put together. Its a hard task and takes a lot of time!
I’m cooking…
Saturday DD and I will be making Pineapple Jelly... She helps me every year!
I’m grateful for…
Everything! So many little things people always over look...
I’m praying for…
DS1's health. He has to have MRI done on Spine then a test on his bladder next month. I'm scared because he has to be put to sleep for the test on bladder and I'm concerned about his health issues. I'm praying hard for Kevin's school as well big week this week and next is as well.
A quote to share…
I asked God to take away my pride. And God said "No".
He said it was not for Him to take away, but for me to give up.
I asked God to make my handicapped child whole. And God said "No".
He said her spirit was whole, her body was only temporary.
I asked God to grant me patience. And God said "No".
He said patience is a by-product of tribulations. It isn't granted, it is earned.
I asked God to give me happiness. And God said "No".
He said He gives me blessings, happiness is up to me.
I asked God to spare me pain. And God said "No".
He said suffering draws me apart from worldly cares and brings me closer to Him.
I asked God to make my spirit grow. And God said "No".
He said I must grow on my own. But He will prune me to make me fruitful.
I asked for all things that I might enjoy life. And God said "No".
He said He will give me life, that I may enjoy all things.
I ask God to help me love others, as much as he loves me.
And God said "Ah, finally you have the idea!"
