Visual Latin Review

I was given a wonderful blessing to review some items from Timberdoodle so I choose 2 items... Visual Latin and Raising Real Men. The first review and blog post is about Visual Latin.

The Product and Purpose
The product is wonderfully laid out and is very visual in the method. If that wasn't already given away by the name - I'm just going to enforce it some! This program is very relaxed in its teaching which I enjoy simply because our homeschooling style is relaxed and not textbook school... After all that's why we homeschool. Visual Latin is a combination of videos and exercises that work together to teach Latin. You do not have to have any knowledge of Latin the best part is you just hit play. Like our Math U See publisher that we love! Each lesson is broken down similar to this:

Grammar Video(7mins) and worksheet
Sentences Video(8mins) and then worksheet
Reading Video(5mins) and then again worksheet

You can go to this page to learn more and also get the first 6 lessons free

My thoughts:
Ok there are some total pluses to this program.

1- Price, isn't gonna break your bank. Yes I didn't have to "pay" for this however "if" I would have chosen to at my own will it would be way more affordable than any other option I have seen! So for 10 lessons your paying $30.00... Deal!

2- Ease. Very easy to start. The hardest part with starting something new is all the organization that comes along with it. With this product you simply insert cd, download worksheets and go with it.

3- Interesting & Funny. Dwayne is very funny which helps kids keep attention on the learning part of it! That alone is a ((BIG)) plus. Love his sense of humor!

So overall this has been a very fun product for us to view. We spend about a week on each lesson. This is very different from anything we have ever done in our homeschool journey and DS1 has had a little trouble so to make sure we are having fun and still learning we are going at a slow pace!

As a member of Timberdoodle's Blogger Review Team I received a free copy of Visual Latin in exchange for a frank and unbiased review.
