Happy New Year

Getting ready to ring in the New Year.
My daughter loves to craft I guess she's kinda like me. She made this gorgeous banner! I kinda got tickled at her because she said the banners are always triangle'd mom and I can't cut them good could you help me? So I cut a template for her to use and allowed her to finish all by herself. She didn't need momma, she had this under control just like a big girl.

We will have our annual movie/game night and sparkling grape juice to ring in our New Year until we watch the ball drop then off to bed for my house. I do not think hubby will be able to stay awake simply because he has worked so much overtime this week. We are thankful for the overtime because it hasn't been something offered before this week but we have missed daddy!

So The Odd Life of Timothy Green is our movie for tonight, I hope its great. The kids have Pictureka, Trouble and Suspend to play.

My word to focus on in 2013 will be "intentional."

I need to be purposeful in EVERYTHING I do for my family, myself, in our schooling, in planning, in loving my husband, in serving my God and being a mother. I want to do it all with purpose!

Weekly Wrap Up - Christmas!!

This week was all about family.
That's why there has been no posts. I appreciate my family time and encourage you too as well. We had a ton of blessings and great memories created this week. This is the first Christmas in our new home. This was also the first Christmas that we have been to our families homes. We lived to far away before we moved in July so its been wonderful to be a part of things we haven't before or well I did as a child but now my children are able to share the same memories I have as a child. I hope that your Christmas was wonderfully blessed!

Here are some collages of our week:

No school anything this week!! Well I think I lied because DD has played the multiplication game on the fire a lot! She's loving it!

We will start school back January 7th.

I'm thankful all my family is over all the sickness we have battled for 3 weeks!! Thank you Jesus!

Christmas Traditions & Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas From Our Family To Yours!

Baking is a tradition in our household. We love the time together and enjoy the mess to be honest! Baking brings you together in ways that television or simple talks never could.

I love our Christmas ornaments, they grow every year and I love our homemade ones too! I will cherish them forever. One day my children will no longer make me ornaments so I will enjoy it while it lasts.

Advent in our home...

Another tradition is going several places to enjoy Christmas lights!

My baby is sick, however after much prayer and a few days she is feeling better this morning!! I was told when she woke up " Mom I think I'm good today!" Love that!!
