Weekly Wrap Up 32

This week was another that just really I don't remember how we got from Monday to Friday. I have way to much going on in my life and my days are just all meshing together. This week we didn't go to Classical Conversations because my smaller two kids haven't felt well. I have had some sinus/cold issues and they got the same problem and so we stayed home. I also didn't go to Homeschool Group Tuesday to teach and for the kids to have class because the way they and I felt still. So hopefully this next week we will be back on our routine for Mondays and Tuesdays.

Even though we didn't attend Classical Conversations we still learned about Presidents. We notebooked more on Washington, Adams, Jefferson, Madison, Monroe, Adams, Jackson, Van-buren, Harrison, Tyler.

Regular School - Together

A-Z Geography - Mountain Pass and Mountain Range

Road Trip USA - We done a large review of all the states we have learned about so far. I felt it was time for a review because through out our talking we was getting some details mixed up a little.

Science Topic -  Hatching Birds (Simple Schooling)

Science Experiment #1 - We took some Easter Peeps and placed them on a microwave plate and talked about what we "thought" was going to happen. It was fun. We recorded what the thoughts were and then went on with the lab. We placed them in the microwave for 45 seconds and the pics below will show you what happened.

They more than doubled in size. You could watch them inflate inside the microwave... The kids screamed and said "ohhh cool" and was totally into it within 2 seconds. Loved it.

Science Experiment #2 - We choose 3 liquids. Bleach, Dr Pepper(soda) and Water to place 1 peep in each liquid to observe what was going to happen. Over 3 days we watched them change. We talked about why the Bleach affected the Peep and the others really didn't change much. This was interesting for them to see.
