My kids love bread and muffins and I normally try to make them from scratch for them to enjoy but sometimes there just isn't enough time. Starting back to school this week I tried to make sure the kids had something to enjoy. Not only did we enjoy it but I also made them make it!!
Here is the recipe for your own Banana Breakfast Bread:
3 cups all purpose flour
2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
2 sticks unsalted butter(melted)
2 cups sugar
2 tsp vanilla
1 cup sour cream
Add all the dry ingredients together and mix. Then slowly add the wet in and stir well. It will get thick but just keep stirring until you have it well blended. The kids got tired and I took over at this point to help.
We got 2 bread pans oiled up and poured the mixture into them.
Place them into the oven at 350 for an hour.
The result is a wonderfully healthy bread for you and your family to enjoy. We took the second loaf to our neighbor that had just broken her foot. I hope it helped her feel better!
