I love eating Sweet & Sour Chicken at the Chinese restaurant but I've never attempted to make it at home. Since my family never eats out anymore I've kind of been desperate for some to eat which sent me into a huge search for a good recipe!
I've searched several places and this one was not only easy but I had everything I needed which shocked me.
Take your chicken and dice it up into cubes.
Your going to need about 1 cup of cornstarch and roll that chicken into the corn starch.
Then dip it into 2 eggs beaten and season with salt and pepper.
Heat some oil and fry until brown.
Now you are going to place chicken into a baking dish to be topped with the sauce mixture.
To make the sauce you will need:
3/4 cup sugar
4 tbsp ketchup
1/2 cup white vinegar
1 tbsp soy sauce
1 tsp garlic salt
Whisk this together and pour over chicken.
Bake at 350 for 20-30 minutes
Ta-daa!!
Easy, fast and good!
