Today was a big day. Lexi had a Tonsillectomy and Adenoidectomy. She started having issues almost 6 months ago and finally today she will hopefully start feeling better and have no other issues.
This is the first surgery for my babies and it was a little scary even though I understand it is performed so much, but not on my babies.
Mom took her yesterday and spoiled her a little with new boots and cool socks and of course a great lunch meal at the Chinese place (her favorite). Then she requested Taco Salad for her last supper for a while.
She loved the heated gown! She actually said that would be awesome to have here at home.

The surgery took a little longer than expected simply because she didn't wake up as easily as they expected but other than that we are home recovering. She doesn't feel well and has sleep almost the entire time we have been home.
I would appreciate your prayers for her please.
Praying for a speedy recovery!! I remember when my son got tubes put in (not as big of a surgery as this) but it still makes you so anxious! Glad the surgery went well! Saying prayers for her now!
ReplyDeletePraying for a quick and good recovery. My eldest son has had a total of 5 surgeries. No matter what they are, they are always stressful. We will keep her in our prayers.
