I've been asking for a table for a few years that was old and farmhouse looking. A few months ago I brought it back up and my wonderful husband politely let me know I had never gave him plans but I did sit him down to Pinterest several times so he knew what I wanted. Long story short I sold my dining table to get the ball rolling and I didn't care if we had to sit on the floor to eat I was going to get my new table now lol! Yes, I really did that. I handed him the plans and he went to Lowe's and bought the supplies. I helped with cuts and construction but if it wasn't for his muscle I wouldn't have been able to do it.
Took us several hours to cut and assemble. The next day I stained and painted. I wanted a white-wash on the bottom with the top stained a dark wood. I then placed poly on it for protection. I love the way it turned out and it is holding up great. We use it daily for school and for our 3 meals. This table will be used deeply and truly.
